Broadcom takes over NetLogic

The chip maker Broadcom network chip fuses with the specialists NetLogic
Microsystems. Broadcom to buy NetLogic shares for $ 50 per piece, making
the transaction worth about 3.7 billion U.S. dollars gets. The merger is
expected to be completed in the first half of next year.

This year, Broadcom acquired with SC Provigent Square and just two small
businesses, and 2010, including approximately Gigle Networks, Beceem
Communications, Percello or Teknovus. NetLogic was in turn merged in
2009 with the company Raza Microelectronics (RMI), the former AMD and
NexGen CEO Atiq Raza.
