Apple is apparently planning a partial icloud support for Snow Leopard.
As a developer reported against MacRumors, the migrated its MobileMe
account on the beta version of the new Internet service, and then an old
Mac with Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) launched, a notice appeared in the. Mac
check box.
"icloud requires a computer running Mac OS X Leopard v10.6.9 or higher
for contacts, calendars and bookmarks," is to be read there. The
information comes from Apple's servers, which also warns that the old
machine after upgrading to icloud can no longer be synchronized. Mac OS
X 10.6.9 is still not available, the latest official version is Mac OS X
10.6.8.
Apple had previously emphasized that "for some functions of icloud" IOS
least 5 and a Lion or Mac with a Windows PC with iTunes requirement.
Icloud rather simple features such as contacts, calendars and bookmarks
could be this lucky discovery, but according also available in Snow
Leopard.
