Google Analytics defines its management interface to new

The Google Analytics Management API, developers can integrate with access to account and configuration information from Google Analytics into their applications will be migrated to Google's new Discovery-based API infrastructure. This in turn provides an interface available via the various metadata on Google's APIs (which are generally available are interfaces that provide them services, an in-line documentation for methods and parameters, etc.) can be retrieved.

In order to integrate the Google Analytics Management API in the new infrastructure, while simultaneously also supplement with additional features, Google relies on a two-pronged model. Version 2.4 is backward compatible to version 2.3 and continues to rely on XML, however, should receive no more new features. The also introduced version 3.0 [4], however, is no longer compatible with its predecessor, but it uses the more compact JSON format and should be maintained in the future with new features - Google recommends in each case, the migration to the interface in version 3.0.

First feature enhancements Google has integrated into the Public Beta is now presented already. The aim is event-goals are represented in the full version 3.0, allowing a new web property ID to link to individual areas within the Google Analytics user interface and profile settings for the default page can be accessed.

Next, Google plans, including the Data Export API according to two new versions published (with, as opposed to the management API, the actual Analytics data can be retrieved).
