SAP TomorrowNow in the case sought to compare with the U.S. Justice

The software giant Shaphat in the dispute over industrial espionage of
the former subsidiary TomorrowNow with the U.S. Justice Department
agreed to a settlement. So that SAP would also bring the criminal
justice process in order to end the theft, as a company spokesman said
on Friday. The comparison with the authority, a court must still agree
on next Wednesday now. Details are expected until then.

The dispute had arisen because the employee had unlawfully 2005 SAP
bought TomorrowNow software maintenance company software updates
downloaded from the SAP rival Oracle from the Internet. SAP has admitted
the misconduct of the employee and taken responsibility for it. End of
2008, SAP TomorrowNow was closed.

Only recently, the Walldorf had achieved in the civil proceedings the
plaintiff Oracle a partial success. Originally selected by a jury set
damages of 1.3 billion U.S. dollars pocketed a judge as "extremely
exaggerated" and set a new one payment of 272 million dollars. Oracle
will thus not be satisfied. "We are convinced that the jury was right,"
said a spokeswoman. "And we intend to collect the full amount of damages
it is entitled to our opinion, Oracle."
