Intel Encapsulator brings HTML5 apps on the desktop

Intel AppUp encapsulator encapsulates Web applications so that they can distribute them on the program of the processor manufacturer AppUp as a full desktop app. Here are binaries can be produced without major adaptations from popular Flash and HTML 5 content. So far, however, were missing key interfaces that allow applications not to run in the browser can communicate with the target platform. Now Intel has made a further and supplemented with the Full Screen API and the HTML5 Local Storage APIzwei interfaces for the encapsulator.

About the new full screen interface AppUp programs can switch to full screen mode. The API will be possible only in connection with the AppUp program, that is, only the compiled apps can use the function, not the underlying application should himself with the local client side storage API developer information in key / value pairs can save.

Intel plans to integrate future even more interfaces for Web Apps in his AppUp program. InApp were planned upgrades (via Javascript) or an Air-to-MSI-packer for the encapsulator.
