Youtube launches editing functions

The video portal YouTube has built a number of tools for editing of uploaded clips. Directly on the video page and in the collection of home videos, there are "Edit Video" now has a button on the various standard functions are available. Thus, for previously uploaded videos to rotate (around from portrait to landscape mode) adjust color and contrast as well as stabilize the image.

There are also some effects that make the video appear as black and white or cartoon look. The filters were developed in partnership with Picnik, like YouTube, a Google subsidiary. Videos retained even after editing their video ID, so they can still be reached at their old URL - but only if they have been less than 1000 views. Also, the current polling numbers will then be maintained. The editing features are currently not all YouTube users. In a blog post introducing it means the feature will be temporarily made globally accessible.
