U.S. police search for iPhone confirmed prototype

U.S. police search for iPhone confirmed prototype

The story of the supposedly lost iPhone prototype looks like an indirect confirmation from police always credible. The police in San Francisco on Friday confirmed that its employees at Apple in search of an unspecified device would have supported. The circumstances of the action coincide with information from the report of the online service CNET about a lie again in a bar serene the next generation iPhone. Last year already, the iPhone was announced four weeks before the official presentation, because a developer had been lost in a California beer garden.

The trade magazine reported on Wednesday CNET had no immediate reference to its sources, an Apple employee had lost in July, the next iPhone or secret in a tequila bar. Apple's security service and police officials had then the trace of the device electronically tracked to a house in San Francisco, there but not found.

At the story came to doubt, as a police spokesman initially said that there was no evidence in its files could find on such an action. However, a resident of the house told the San Francisco Weekly, several people posing as police officers, had rung his doorbell and asked him questions about an Apple device. Then he had allowed two of them to look at his house.

Only then, a police spokesman confirmed the SF Weekly and the Wall Street Journal that Apple actually more officials the security people were escorted to the house. They could not enter the building, however. The residents interviewed claimed in the SF Weekly, however, to have had no idea that he had no police, but Apple employees in his house. Why not use the police confirmed only long remained unclear.

Apple is known for extreme secrecy, so the story had already taken care of with the iPhone 4 in the last year for much ridicule. According to previous information is likely to introduce the new Apple iPhone in the fall, possibly in October.
