Oracle Announces Record Benchmark with SAP ATO

Oracle claimed a new speed record for its SPARC Enterprise M9000 server
type. With Oracle Database 11g, the company wants to have rejected the
competition in their place. Used in the benchmark "Assemble-to-order"
(ATO) from SAP, the system reached 206 360 Fully Processed Assembly
Orders Per Hour. The previous leader is HP's Superdome with 144 090 in a
three-tier configuration, but with Oracle 9i. HP has been able to hold
the position since early 2002. Oracle's recent results have not been
published in SAP.

Flagship: Oracle's SPARC Enterprise M9000 is the new record holder.

of camp and contract manufacturing, plus it uses components from SAP's
business suite. It measures how many orders have gone through the
process from the specific customer order through to completion in one hour.
