Microsoft's online services failed

Microsoft's online services failed

Microsoft's e-mail services Windows Live Hotmail and MSN are apparently failed in the past few hours worldwide. A Microsoft spokesperson told about Twitter, the loss also affects the SkyDrive online storage service. Was currently being worked to eliminate the problems, according to another tweet.

Causing the failure was caused, not shared with Microsoft. In media reports speculated that the problems could be due to a power outage in the Californian city of San Diego. At least for some users to the services to be accessible again.

[Update: Microsoft announces on his official state website that Hotmail, Messenger, "news from social networks" and SkyDrive are now running normally. Apparently, the problems related to the Domain Name System (DNS) together. Microsoft manager Chris Jones wrote  on the Windows Live blog, there are changes to the DNS configuration have been made. Depending on the location for most users, the services were restored..
