Cluster Software launches new internet project

The software cluster project "Innovative services in the future Internet", on 1 September 2011 started its work. Especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will receive a platform that supports providers in developing new business models. This should be SMEs without their own IT resources in a position to offer services in the cloud itself. At its launch in Darmstadt came together a consortium of 17 partners.

Image: Software-cluster members are the 1 & 1 Internet AG, AGT Group USA, CAS Software AG, ConWeaver GmbH, CORISECIO GmbH, EUROSEC GmbH, the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD, Secure Information Technology SIT and Techno and Industrial Mathematics, the FZI Forschungszentrum computer science, the Insiders Technologies GmbH, intelligent views GmbH, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT, the Ontoprise GmbH, SAP AG, Scheer GmbH, SEEBURGER AG, Software AG and the Technical University of Darmstadt.

By 2014, the project should be completed. It has a budget of 20 million €. Since 2010 already run the software cluster projects, "Fundamentals of emergent software" and "process innovation in the software industry". When it comes to the first coupling of distributed information system in business, second in a matter of business practices for managing new projects develop. The projects are to merge in 2015 into a new enterprise software. The federal government provides funds for the software cluster in the amount of 40 million euros ready, another 40 million will come from the partners.
