Apache Wicket 1.5 with a new event system and other components HTML5

Apache Wicket 1.5 with a new event system and other components HTML5

The Apache Wicket project has released his eponymous Framework version
1.5. For two years the developers are working on their own information
on the release now presented, is also correspondingly long list of new
features. The developers here have explicitly states that need to be
updated when you upgrade to version 1.5 all modules used - the new
Wicket framework is no longer compatible with older versions of the modules.

In addition to several new HTML5 components (email text field, number
TextField UrlTextField and range TextField), a revised URL-handling and
the new browser caching provide the developers a new event mechanism for
the communication of individual wicket-modules against each other.

Apache Wicket is an open source component-oriented web framework for
Java developers. The project is to realize it, have not submitted the
first web framework, but believes to be presenting with Wicket an
approach that can get along without any special markup in the HTML code,
offer an easily accessible object model and its components in new
projects could be easily reused.

Apache Wicket is free under the Apache 2.0 license, available for
download. Prerequisite is the JDK version 1.5.
