Android 2.3.6 Tethering removed

Google has begun shipping version 2.3.6 of the operating system Android.
The update will be provided in batches for the Samsung Nexus S
smartphone. Among others in the Google forum to complain about the unit
owners that the tethering function is disabled after the update. With

Whether this is a bug or intention is unclear, Google has not been

Some wireless service providers prohibit the use of tethering in

The update to 2.3.6 also includes several security vulnerabilities that
have not been named in more detail from Google, and should improve the
voice search. Android 2.3.5 it was only for the not available in Germany
