Samsung wants to explain that Apple's European registered design for the
iPad to be void. An application the company had already submitted in
August for the design on the European internal market harmonization
competent office (OHIM), told the South Korean manufacturer. "Apple
claims the Design of the iPad belong to the company, but this design
already existed long before the iPad," said a Samsung spokesman for the
Korea Times.
Apple had made the design for a "handheld computer" enter in 2004 at the
Office. The design entry is the basis for the Dusseldorf procured before
a court injunction against Samsung Tablet Tab Galaxy, so that by the
South Korean company in Germany may no longer be expelled - the process
goes until 20 December to appeal.
Apple and Samsung do a number of countries spanning lawsuit and throw
each other against plagiarism and infringement. Samsung is currently
trying to obtain preliminary injunctions against the distribution 4S of
the iPhone in France and Italy.
