Prices for final papers to open source

For the fifth time, writes his Univention endowed with € 4500 prize for
graduates from academic theses with regard to open source. The award is
aimed at graduates of all disciplines and all academic levels.
Interested parties have until 15th February 2012 e-mail to advertise
absolventenpreis@univention.de. The detailed terms and conditions has
created the Bremer Linux distributor to absolventenpreis.de.

The prize is worth € 4,500. The first-place prize of graduates, there
are 2,000 euros for the second and third places in 1000 and 500 €. For
the first time this year the jury will also award a special prize of
1000 € for a work that deals with open source software in the cloud. The
awards ceremony takes place at LinuxTag 2012 on 23 May 2012 in Berlin.

Last year all three awards went to computer scientist; Univention and
the jury, however, explicitly emphasize that graduates can also apply
for other departments. By 2010, a geographer and 2009 have been awarded
an Economic Scientist.
